Less than a week out from the 2024 Olympics, basketball gold medal favourites, the United States, have been out in Abu Dhabi as part of their preparations for the showpiece event. On Friday, ex-Manchester United man Pogba was seen talking to Philadelphia 76ers' Embiid in a seemingly cheery exchange.

Pogba was handed a four-year ban earlier in February after testing positive for banned substance DHEA, which naturally raises testosterone levels, last year. He was provisionally suspended in September 2023, weeks after a random drugs test following Juventus' first match of the season on August 20. He is one of the most high-profile footballers to be sanctioned for testing positive for a banned substance.

The 2018 World Cup winner Pogba will be unable to play until the summer of 2027, when the Frenchman will be 34. Despite receiving a four-year ban, that has been backdated to the date of the failed test in August 2023.
