Leeds United have had a number of issues in recent weeks, but there may not be a man who has come under more scrutiny than Patrick Bamford.
The striker is slammed by the fanbase on almost a weekly basis, and while it’s not nice to see any player being called out by their own fans, it’s hard to argue that he doesn’t deserve it.
Indeed, Bamford has missed more big chances than any other striker in the league, and he’s underperforming his xG by over seven goals.

Of course, that’s disappointing to see, but the fact of the matter is that it’s no worse than what we saw last term.
Roofe was hailed by supporters a number of times last term, but the stats show that he’s not that much better than Bamford, if at all.
He netted three more goals than the current Leeds man in four more games, but he wasn’t getting into the right positions as often – taking fewer shots per game while playing in the same system with a very similar group of players.
In terms of creativity, not much separates the two, Roofe just edges it, but it’s barely enough to make a difference.
So why were fans so sad to see Roofe go, but then happily criticise Bamford on a weekly basis?
It seems a bit fickle to hound the former Middlesbrough man a year on from treating the current Anderlecht striker as royalty.
In other news, Leeds fans should think again when criticising Marcelo Bielsa for one thing.
