da casino: Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to react after Bailey Wright suffered an ankle injury in the 1-0 win over Oxford on Saturday.
da betsul: The Australia international – who arrived at the Stadium of Light on loan from Bristol City in January – was making his fifth start for the Black Cats in League One, before he was forced off the field against Oxford having managed to play 84 minutes of the match.
Phil Parkinson’s side have conceded just two goals with Wright in the side, both of which came against Portsmouth as the 27-year-old has developed a fine partnership with Jordan Willis.
However, Parkinson revealed following the full-time whistle that it “doesn’t look good” for the centre-back, confirming that he has suffered damage to his ankle ligaments – there is yet to be a time frame attached to his expected absence.
The blow is a shame for Wright, who was doing so well for the Wearsiders since arriving last month.
Let’s see how the Sunderland fans on Twitter reacted…
To kick off the reaction, both of these supporters labelled Wright’s expected absence as a “massive miss” with J.Simpson saying that “either Ozturk or Lynch has to step up” in light of the incident.
Elsewhere, Ray said he is “gutted” that Wright is injured, as he has been “quality from day one”.
Kingy then said that it comes as a “huge blow” as the backline has looked “so much more organised and composed” since he arrived at the Stadium of Light.
Lastly, @lord_barrold said that it’s a “massive blow” and that Wright has been a “fantastic addition to the XI”.

Then, Kieran made the slightly over-reactive point that promotion is now “out the window”.
